Behind the Trailer

The trailer you see on the website also happens to be the opening prologue of the show itself. It is the brainchild of Director Rick Beaulé, and was created by Penns Manor High School Art Teacher Bob Paronish. Bob commented that, “This movie was a great opportunity for me to be able to teach my art students techniques in both movie creation and storyboarding. This is knowledge that will serve them well if they decide to go on to higher education in Visual Arts.” Included within the movie prologue are several unique innovations. The movie features several shots of Beast actor David Ball. Photos were taken of Dave and then altered using computer effects to achieve an animated look that matched the rest of the movie. Also included is a voiceover graciously provided by the Dean of Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Michael Hood, a 30-year veteran of the stage. “I wanted to include some unique ideas that the area hasn’t seen before, and wanted to involve the community”, stated Director Rick Beaulé. “I knew right away that Dean Hood would provide the perfect timbre to set up the opening of the show.” The animation and voiceover that you hear will be played for the opening with the pit orchestra providing the soundtrack underneath. The movie itself will be played using yet another special effect, which will remain a surprise for now…… |
